He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva Jones and Carrie Brown Jones; his wife Janet Sigmon Jones; his sister Katherine; his brother-in-law Buck Beatty; his brother Eveland; and his sister-in-law Ethel Jones.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sherry Black (Edsel) of Catawba, Vicki Johnson (Ronnie) of Columbia, SC and Christy Bolick of Denver; his grandchildren, Dr. Mitchell Black (Melissa), Marty Black (Laura), Staci Greyard (Will), Stephanie Henderson (Daniel), Megan Young (Mason) and Chris Bolick; his great grandchildren, Collins Black, Noah Black, Lydia Black, William Black, Hallie Black and Sullivan Henderson; his siblings-in-law, Sharon Sigmon of Denver and Billy Sigmon (Cindy); his nieces, Jennifer Sigmon, Sylvia Johnson (Doug) and Amy Jones; his nephew Ryan Sigmon (Cassie); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Tate and Garrett; his nephew Lee Allen Beatty; and also Lindsey.
