He is survived by: his parent Frances Moore Whitesell; his wife Betty Moose Whitesell; his sons, Tony Whitesell of Greensboro, Rod Whitesell (Jess) of Holly Springs and Kelly Whitesell; his grandchildren, Samuel Whitesell, Tyler Whitesell, Jay Whitesell and Emily Whitesell; his sister Ellen Coll of Greensboro; his brother-in-law David Moose (Jolene) of Taylorsville; and his nieces, Jamie Coll and Meredith Coll-Newson (Chris).
