With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jack Edward Smidlein of Caswell Beach, North Carolina, born in Yonkers, New York, who passed away on May 24, 2024 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Jack Edward's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Smidlein and Madeline Crough Smidlein. He is survived by: his wife Joan Broscheid Smidlein; and his children, Alan Smidlein (Kim), Pam Dunleavy (Jim), Steven Smidlein (Ellen), David Smidlein (Janette) and Susan Martin (Rob). He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren.
