He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Groves and Doris Groves. He is survived by: his wife Annette Horrell Groves; his sons, Phillip Groves Jr. (Tracie) of Magnolia, Darrell Groves of Castle Hayne and Kevin Groves (Mae) of Castle Hayne; his grandchildren, Michael, Meagan, Braxton, Angie, Haleigh, Kyle, Carley and Emilee; and his siblings, Charlie Groves (Sherry) of Greensboro and Angie Kellum of Sneeds Ferry. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
