She is survived by: her son Donald David Adkins (Connie) of Wilmington, NC; her grandchildren, Lisa Turner and Jason Simmons (Audria); her great grandchildren, Lindsey Turner, Alexis Turner, Zalen and Zarana Simmons; and her nephew John Richard Congleton (Elaine).
