She is survived by: her husband Harold Eugene "Gene" Leonard, Jr.; her daughter Sherry Leonard Benton (David) of Castle Hayne; her grandchildren, Haley Leonard and Harold Leonard, IV; her siblings, Betty Saunders (Jerry) of Castle Hayne, Marie Rhodes (Roy) of Hampstead, Teresa Rouse of Wilmington and John Rouse (Melinda); and her sisters-in-law, Marilyn Grice (Herbie) and Rose Watkins (David). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and her special dog.
