She is survived by: her son Michael Durant of Wilmington, NC; her brother Jerome Dukes of Wilmington, NC; her aunts and uncles, Diane Dukes (Ervin) of Norfolk, VA, Jennifer Daves of Norfolk, VA, Peggy Felton of Wilkes-Barre, PA, Katie Felton of Suffolk, VA, Marsha Williams of Harker Heights, TX, Dennis Dukes of Norfolk, VA, Oscar Dukes (Wilhelmina) of Chesapeake, VA, Burton Dukes (Janet) of Norfolk, VA and James Dukes, III (Marion) of Harker Heights, TX; and her close friends, Maggie Marietta and Boyd "Scooter" Parker.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the John H. Shaw's Son Funeral Home (520 Red Cross St, Wilmington, NC 28401). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the New Beginning Christian Church (3120 Alex Trask Dr, Castle Hayne, NC 28429). A burial will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Dukes Family Cemetery.
