He is survived by: his wife Gwendolyn Caviness Bowens; his children, George Daniels of Mapleton, GA, Mario Hinnant of Mableton, GA and Alexis Bowens of Castle Hayne; and his siblings, Mary Bowens Farley (Stanley) of Raleigh, Ruben Bowens of Raleigh and Linda Hargroves of Wilson. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and a host of nices, nephews, other relatives and friends.
