He is survived by: his children, Eula Mae Leonard of Spring Hope, NC, Daphine Thomas (Bobby) of Louisburg, NC, Maxine Perry (Simon) of Louisburg, NC, Emanuel Alston (Roshonda) of Jackson, MS and Alton Scarborough of South Carolina. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
