It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Smith Norris of Cashiers, North Carolina, who passed away on January 28, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Smith and Edna Baumgarner Smith; her husband Reverend Johnny Norris; and her siblings, Lydia Bryson and Bill Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Melodye Norris, William Charlie Norris (Kristi) and Matthew Thomas Norris; her grandson Jonathan Evan Norris; her siblings, Malina Fowler (Phil) and Robert Smith (Louetta); and her brother-in-law J. C. Norris (Sheraldean). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
