He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Raymond, Fay Brewer Cockrell, James Everett and Annie Pruitt Strickland. He is survived by: his parents, Lois Cockrell Strickland and James Strickland; his aunts and uncles, Carol, Stephen Foster of Cashiers, Earline Caldwell of Cashiers, Patricia Turner of Cleveland, NC, Barbara Osborne of Landis, NC, Dot Cockrell of Mooresville, NC and Mary Ruth Dixon of Salisbury, NC.; and his cousins, Jerry, Sara Prewitt and Lisa Myers.
