He was predeceased by: his parents, Scott Guthrie and Sarah Guthrie (Parker). He is survived by: his wife Louise Davis; his children, Otis Guthrie (Tammy) of Fountain Inn, SC and Janet Hawkins (Carlton) of Greenville, SC; and his stepdaughters, Jackie Hernandez of Cashiers, Tammy Williams (Rob) of Carolina Beach, NC, Tina McConnell (Todd) of Franklin, NC and Charlie. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
