He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Jasper Barrett, Sr. and Sallie Huffstetler Barrett; his son Tony Dale Barrett, Jr.; and his siblings, D. J. Barrett and Doris Allen.

He is survived by: his wife Delores Barrett; his daughter Wanda Bell (David) of Kings Mountain; his grandson Brian Bell (Kimberly); his great grandchildren, Kendall Bell and Kynlee Bell; and his stepson Charles Chapman.

Memorials may be made to Mary's Grove United Methodist Church, Cemetery Fund, 1223 Mary's Grove Church Road, Kings Mountain, NC 28086.
