He was predeceased by: his parents, James Marion Bowen and Junie Benfield Bowen; his siblings, Jimmy Bowen, Dot Harris and Sue Strickland; his grandson Dylan Dixon; and his close friend John Herman.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia M. Bowen; his daughter Rhonda Ledford (Dwayne) of Lawndale; his grandsons, Darin Dixon (Brooklyn) of Shelby, Dusty Dixon of Casar and Dawson Dixon of Lattimore; his great grandchildren, Lane Dixon and Levi Dixon of Shelby; and his sister Jessie Beach (Butch) of Belmont.
