She was predeceased by: her parents, Boyd J. Short and Ruby McNeilly Short; and her daughter Melissa Earl. She is survived by: her husband Jerry Melvin Earl; her daughter Gina Blount of Casar; her granddaughter Mikaylyn Blount; her siblings-in-law, Larry Earl (Joyce) of Cherryville, Gary Earl (Peggy) of Belwood and Betty Hudson (Rock); her aunts, Patricia Bowen and Lourene Rigsbee; and her close friends, Jeanne Blanton and Mark Rigsbee.
