It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Hurley Rice of Casar, North Carolina, who passed away on March 15, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her children, June R. Deese of Salisbury, David B. Rice (Debbie) of Sherrills Ford, Jeffrey L. Rice (Sheri) of Harrisburg and Daniel B. Rice of Kings Mountain; her sister Joyce H. Bare of Laurel Springs; her grandchildren, Gary (Betty), April (David), Courtney, Dale (Lindsey), Travis (Mandy), Jarrett (Autumn), Hunter, Kody (Shelby), Kory (Brandon) and Brian; her great grandchildren, Nicholas, Brooklyn, Jackson, Emma, Annabelle, Scarlett, Parker, Analise, Gunnar, Quinn and Maddox; and her great great grandchild Zachery.
