It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronnie Charles Short (Casar, North Carolina), born in Cleveland, North Carolina, who passed away on January 21, 2020, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Buland Short and Maudie Newton Short; his sister Jackie Shell; and his son-in-law Jeff Norton. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn "Carol" Stone Short; his daughter Tanna Norton of Brevard; his stepdaughters, Ladonna Lacaze of Lafayette, Dora Turner of Greenville, SC and Karen Puckett of Greenville, SC; his sisters, Dorothy Anderson (Richard) and Louise Dockery (Bobby) of Valdese; his brother-in-law Robert "Bob" Shell of Kings Mountain; and his pet Lacy. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
