He is survived by: his wife Patricia McNeely Blanton; his sons, Jonathan Blanton (Dara) of Fallston and Justin Blanton of Gastonia; his sister Carolyn Poston (Mike) of Casar; his grandchildren, Mason Blanton and Alexa Blanton; his nephews, Joseph Poston (Natalie) of Cherryville and Brandon Poston of Cherryville; his sisters-in-law, Libby Williams of Lawndale and Mary Cook of Lawndale; his caregivers, Betty Jo Dillingham of Fallston and Carolyn Hudson of Casar; and his pets, Eden and Scooter. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, neighbors.
