She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Richard Hastings and Delzie Green Hastings; her husband Lester Vester Cook; and her siblings, Roy Hastings, Lucy Jolly, Goldie Jones, Elizabeth Melton and Mildred Ward.
She is survived by: her sons, Roger Cook (Diane) of Blacksburg, SC, James Cook (Brenda) of Casar and Arnold Cook (Melissa) of Vale; and her sister Blanche Poole of Valdese. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
