She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin "Rush" Campbell and Vernie Heafner Campbell; her husband Jack Hoover Newton; and her siblings, Gene Campbell, Montrose "Monty" Floyd, Christine Martin, Gary Campbell and Carolyn McKee.
She is survived by: her children, Joel Newton (Tammy) of Casar and Alisa Goad (Larry) of Shelby; and her grandchildren, Elliott Newton (Tonya), Carrie Timms (Josh), Winston McKee, Ian McKee, Avery McKee, Brooke Emory (Josh) and Kristin Goad (Darrell Endicott). She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
