It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hattie Causby Smith of Casar, North Carolina, born in Cleveland, North Carolina, who passed away on September 2, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Earnest Martin Causby; her husband Pastor Johnny Wayne Smith; her son Marty Smith; her son-in-law James Wilkie; her granddaughter Brenda Wilkie; and her siblings, Hittie Causby, Annie Belle Cook, Onedia Smith, Eare Causby, Jinnie Parker, Ralph, Earnest, William and Charles Causby.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kay Price (Tim), Louise Houser (Dale), Virginia Gaye Wilkie and Twanda Willis (Wendell); and her pet Taz. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
