He was predeceased by: his parents, Arie Esper Hudson and Barbara Lou Hoyle Hudson; his wife Coleen White Hudson; his children, Bruce Franklin Hudson and Donna Hudson; and his sisters, Vernie Mae Pruitt and Marcell Wright.
He is survived by: his daughter Shelly Hudson (Melissa Lyon) of Casar; his siblings, Fred Hudson of Hildebran, Wayne Hudson of Casar and Dorothy Marlow of Morganton; his grandchildren, April Hudson, Megan Hudson, Elizabeth Stamey and Cassidy Lyon; and his great grandchildren, Sophia Hudson, Conner Freitag, Weston Singleton and Kinsley Singleton.
