It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bonnie Smith of Casar, North Carolina, born in Cleveland, North Carolina, who passed away on June 30, 2020, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Cecil Riley Tallent and Bonnie Edna Cook Tallent; her grandmother Augusta Cook; her husband Horace Lee Smith I; her children, Jerry Lee Smith (Tiffany) of Casar and Wanda McCurry (Danny) of Lawndale; her siblings, Mark Tallent of Connelly Springs, Jackie Tallent of Morganton, Sandra Lail of Valdese, Debbie Smith of Valdese, Vickie VanHorn of Wake Forest and Evelyn Barlow of Morganton; and her grandchildren, Justin McCurry, Jordan McCurry and Hannah Smith.
