He is survived by: his parents, George Nelson and Barbara Nelson; his wife Bonnie Lee Nelson of Cary; his daughters, Heather Lynn Nelson of Raleigh and Lauren Barbara Nelson of Raleigh; and his siblings, Diane Shoja (Massy), Jon Nelson, Glen Nelson and Christy Sheehy (Jim). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
