He was predeceased by: his parents, Alpheus Hill and Nellie Hill. He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, William 'Sonny' and Karen Kerchner; his son-in-law Darrin Kerchner; and his grandchildren, Sydney Kerchner and Noah Kerchner. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Good Hope Baptist Church.
