It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wallace Reid Young Sr. of Cary, North Carolina, who passed away on October 19, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Johnie Matthews Young; his parents, Thelma Inez Tyner Young and Sidney Burl Young; his aunt Vera Poole Young; and his sister Doris Young Brooks.
He is survived by: his stepchild Johnie; his stepgrandchildren, Matthew Laughlin and Ruth Young; his sister Betty Hoy (Raleigh); his children, Belinda Young Laughlin (Raleigh) and Wallace Reid Young, Jr. (Cary); and his grandchildren, Matthew S. Laughlin (Winston-Salem) and K. Ruth Young (Raleigh). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
