It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Thomas Currin (Cary, North Carolina), born in Oxford, North Carolina, who passed away on May 19, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bodie Currin and Lodema Currin; and his brothers, Buck of Oxford, N. C. and Bill Currin of Oxford, N. C.. He is survived by: his former spouse Jean McCulley; his children, Alex Currin and Jennifer Currin-McCulloch; his wife Judith Murphy Trogdon Currin; his stepchildren, Murphy Ayala (Trogdon) and Curt Trogdon; and his grandchildren, Meredith Currin, Georgia Trogdon, Bryce Currin, Kathryn Ayala, Grayson Trogdon, Edith Ayala, Nicole McCulloch and Lauren McCulloch. He is also survived by many animal lovers and their pets that he considered among his dear friends.
