He was predeceased by: his parents, Schuyler B. Smith and Ruth D. Smith of Rockville Centre; his sister Gayle Brashears; and his wife Pat. He is survived by: his children, Schuyler (Lisa), Dale Conners (Tom) and Karen Rowe (Tim); and his grandchildren, Lauren, Melissa (Connor), Tom, Jay, Kimberly (JJ), Megan and Andrew.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute or a charity of your choice.
