He was predeceased by: his wife Tammy Benson Russ; his mother Ann Fraser Russ; and his son Jordan Benson Russ. He is survived by: his son David Scott Russ of Cary, NC; his father William Albert Russ; his grandchildren, Alexa Krause, Adam Russ and Nico Taylor; his mother-in-law Joy Mills; his siblings, William Albert Russ Jr. (Bill), David Wayne Russ and Aleta Ann Russ Harper; and his brother-in-law Scot Harper. He is also survived by his wife's siblings and several nieces and one nephew.
