She was predeceased by: her parents, Abner Gorforth Greene and Annie Faye "Gunny" Hunt; her significant other George Almon Goodwyn; her brother Jerry Greene; and her son Christopher Fountain Goodwyn.
She is survived by: her children, George Scott Goodwyn of Rocky Mount, Caroline Faye Goodwyn Overton of Raleigh and Sally Anne Goodwyn Thomas of Cary; her grandchildren, Patrick Goodwyn, Daniel Goodwyn, Gwyneth Thomas, Maryanne Thomas, Samantha Thomas and Nathanael Overton; her great grandchild Grady Goodwyn; and her pet Georgia.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Sally's name can be made to Westwood Baptist Church in Cary.
