He was predeceased by: his brothers, Walter "Buddy" Shearin, Floyd Carlton Shearin and Larry James Shearin. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Taylor; his children, Karen Shearin Barbour (Jim) of Wilmington, NC and Roger Keith Shearin (Teresa) of Clayton, NC; his grandchildren, Kandice Barbour Sweetman (Jordan) of Alton, Illinois, Justin Barbour (Danielle) of Wilmington, NC and Katherine Shearin; his great grandchild Karolina Sweetman; his siblings, Mary Sue Crickmore of Castalia, NC, Troy Lee Shearin (Ann) of Conway, SC, Samuel Shearin of Rocky Mount, NC, Charlotte Ann Keen (Richard) of Battleboro, NC, Deborah Kay Arnold (Phil) of Battleboro, NC and Frances P. Shearin of Morrisville, NC; and also Carol Shearin of Raleigh, NC. He is also survived by 24 nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.
