It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita French Hamilton of Cary, North Carolina, born in Norfolk, Virginia, who passed away on February 22, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lieutenant Commander Donald R. French and Stella Talalas French; and her husband Captain Oliver Wendell Hamilton, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Richard French Gaya and Catherine Gaya Taylor; and her stepsons, Lawrence Alan Hamilton, Paul Brian Hamilton and Douglas Ross Hamilton. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A reception will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Performing Arts Center (19001 Searstone Dr, Cary, NC 27513).
