He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thomas and Imelda Thomas; his wife Margaret; and his brothers, William and John.
He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Lou (Michael Weller) of Ahoskie, NC and Barbara (Wayne Clayton) of Zebulon, NC. He is also survived by four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
