He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Owen Hawkins and Amanda Stella Horner; and his siblings, Mary Frances H. Mucciariello, Patsy H. Greene, Sara H. Idol and Thomas David Hawkins.
He is survived by: his sisters, Peggy H. Lemons (Earl) and Jo Anne H. Faucher (Pierre); his daughters, Dana H. Hatch (David) and Myra R. Hawkins; his grandchildren, Daniel A. Hatch, Caroline B. Hatch, Christopher S. Lindsay and Julia L. Lindsay; and his brother-in-law Gordon Shannonhouse. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heifer International or to Outreach Ministries at St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
