He was predeceased by: his parents, Armando Cariani and Anna Cariani; his siblings, Louise Brabazon (Bill), Diane Gupta and James Cariani; and his siblings-in-law, Karen Cronin and Robert Cronin.

He is survived by: his wife Sheila Cariani; his sons, John and Jeffrey; his grandsons, Isaac and Henry; his son-in-law John Lloyd; and his siblings-in-law, Denise Cariani, Ruth Cronin, Janet Cronin, Penny Hunt, David Cronin and Michael Cronin. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
