Pasquale DiBari Obituary
Pasquale DiBari (nee Girolamodibari) of Cary, NC passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at his home in the comfort of his family after a two-month battle with Leukemia. He was a parishioner at Mother Teresa Catholic Church.
Pasquale epitomized trust in God, resilience, love, and hard work. Born April 18, 1942 in Giovanazzo, Italy amidst war and poverty. He immigrated to the US at 16 settling in Bronx, NY with nothing more than hope in his heart and dreams in his eyes. He was a mason by trade specializing in stonework and built two successful small businesses in Long Island and Wilmington over his 40+ year career with many beautiful homes and structures to his tribute. His hands, rough and strong, were a testament of a man who lived life through the sincerity of his work and strength of his character.
He lived the American dream, not merely in what he accomplished, but in the wealth of love and legacy he leaves behind. With hands that were as tender as they were tough, he made a life for his family in Mastic Beach, NY where they were members of a strong and supportive faith community for 23 years. Later as a grandfather he visited his children and grandchildren wherever they lived, celebrating special events, holidays, and supporting them during challenges. He loved games of all sorts especially playing cards. He had a passion for great food and loved cooking, gardening, and sharing his creations with others. His sports were soccer and golf and his special place was by the ocean. He was charming and his smile welcoming. Pasquale was a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend. We are his living legacy.
Pasquale was preceded in death by his wife Lucielle A. DiBari and is survived by his current wife Denise R. Cox; his children Dominic (Karen) DiBari, Pasquale Jr. DiBari, Maria D.
