It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nancy Taylor Schappert of Cary, North Carolina, born in Hampton, Virginia, who passed away on August 1, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Taylor Selden and Nan Moore Holtzclaw; her sister Frances Ann Shuford; and her daughter Karen Moore Schappert. She is survived by: her husband Herman Robert Schappert (Bob); her daughter Susan Elizabeth Harper (Jim); and her grandchildren, Jimmy Harper (Staci), Madison Motte (Hunter), Bobby Harper (Brianna) and Emma Harper.
Memorial donations can be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church Organ Fund or Children's Hospital of the Kings Daughters in Norfolk, Va.
