With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael Westin Wood of Cary, North Carolina, born in Rome, Georgia, who passed away on October 3, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha Louise Rooks Wood and Wallace Eugene Wood. He is survived by: his daughter Tara Wood (Charlie Plummer); his granddaughter Rayna Plummer; his siblings, Phyllis Mann (Ben Mann) and Wallace "Wally" Wood Jr.; and his caregivers, Paul Dennis, Alberta Dennis, Chicarra Jones and Mike.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Andrews Church (440 Whilden St, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 27th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the VFW (522 Reedy Creek Rd, Cary, NC 27513).
