She was predeceased by: her parents, Letha Jane Walters and Lawrence Allen Commander; and her siblings, Dorothy "Dot" Lucille Commander McKellar, James Allen Commander and Vernon Walters Commander.

She is survived by: her daughter Carol Ann Hill McCullen; and her granddaughters, Leslie and Lauren McCullen. She is also survived by extended family and friends.
