He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Chesson and Josie Chesson; his brother Dr. Eugene Chesson; his grandson Jacob Wolff; and his great grandchild Josiah Faulks.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Chesson; his former wife Sylvia Chesson; his sister-in-law Lynn Chesson; his children, Sylvia Chesson (David Chick) and Edwin Chesson (Rhonda Chesson); his grandchildren, Ethan Chesson (Mary Chesson), Seth Chesson (Annie Chesson) and Aubrey Chesson; his daughter Mary Clare Chesson; his grandchildren, Shanda Boreyko (Jonathan Boreyko), Mandy Moyers, Hannah Faulks (Nathan Faulks) and Noah Wolff; his daughter Kimberly Goodling (Chuck Goodling); his grandchildren, Emily Goodling, Anna Goodling and Luke Goodling; his son Randall Chesson (Heather Coppola); and his great grandchildren, Ford, Colton, Harper Chesson, Aaron, Asa, Micah, Evangeline, Roman Boreyko and Benjamin Faulks.
