She is survived by: her husband Louis Hovis of Cary, NC; her sons, Dr. John Hovis (Robin) of Rockford, IL and Samuel Hovis (Sandra) of Lincolnton, NC; and her grandchildren, Jonathan (Rockford), Matthew of Raleigh, NC, Marilee of Greeley, CO, Gabriella of Weaverville, NC and Martin (Lincolnton). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
