It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lalau Faiilagi Saili (Cary, North Carolina), who passed away on November 30, 2020, at the age of 45, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He is survived by: his wife Kate Saili; his sons, Niualava and Iosefa; his nephew Jonathan Saili (Alaska); and his siblings, Vili Saili (American Samoa), Asomua Saili (Hawaii), Seumaloisalafai Afele Faiilagi, Faafetai Saili Joppa (Nebraska), Faamanu Saili Tanoa (Washington), Asomualemalama Faiilagi Saili and Mose Faiilagi Saili. He is also survived by children.
In the last year and a half, Faiilagi had been a stay-at-home dad, taking the kids to school and picking them up daily (before Covid), and lately getting them ready for virtual school every morning, including weekends when he sometimes forgot what day it was.
In lieu of flowers, there is also a GoFundMe page that was set up to help defray funeral costs and help the family transport Faiilagi's ashes to Samoa when borders open again.
