We are sad to announce that on December 31, 2023 we had to say goodbye to Kimberly Piedra Ilg of Cary, North Carolina, born in Joliet, Illinois. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruth "Peg" Shelvock and Elmer "Bud" Shelvock; her husband Amaury "Pepe" Piedra; and her in-laws, Benito and Olga Iturralde.

She is survived by: her sister Kay Bigelow; her sister-in-law Mary; and her stepchildren, Amaury (Mary-Jane), Alejandro (Irene), Katerina (Shaun), Gabriella (Kevin), Andy (Rachel), Amanda (Rick), Jonathan, Melissa (David) and Meredith.

In lieu of flowers she would love donations to be made to the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

“We met at Advent Lutheran Church and discovered that we had mutual friends in Fitzwilliam, NH. Kimberly was a joy to talk to and work beside. She loved to help with church meals and the annual basket raffle. Jack came with her occasionally and they spoke fondly about their large family. She was a blessing to all!”
