She is survived by: her children, Jerald Brooks Long, Jr. of Wake Forest, Michael Richardson Long (Karyn Jane Long) of Cary and Elizabeth Long O'Connell (Thomas Patrick O'Connell) of Chapel Hill; and her grandchildren, Avery (Kirsten), Emma, Brooks Long, Finn and Harper O'Connell.
