He was predeceased by: his fathers, Lorenzo Perry and Jesse Bell Darden; and his siblings, Celestine Pollock, Dorothy Darden and Paul Darden.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Sue Williams Darden; his children, Michael (Teresa), Christopher (Rose), Gregory (Shelley) and Sandra K. Darden; his grandchildren, Andrew (Taylor), Haley and Riley; his great grandchild Tucker; and his sister Margaret Oates.
