It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Peter Crichton of Cary, North Carolina, born in Greenwich, Connecticut, who passed away on June 11, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Edward and Elizabeth Bowen Crichton; his former wife Mary Ellen Crichton of Greenwich, CT; and his daughters, Susan Elizabeth Crichton Martineau, Russell Martineau and Cooper Crichton Martineau of Portland.

He is survived by: his wife Katherine Louise Crichton of Cary, N. C.; his son John P. Crichton Jr.; his grandchildren, Andrew, Melissa and John P. Crichton III of Ocean Isle, N. C; his son Matthew Alec Crichton; his granddaughters, Elle and Teagan of Cary, N. C.; his daughter Kathleen Bowen Halliwell; his granddaughters, Meagan and Caroline; his daughter Melissa Anne Ostrom; his grandchildren, William, Charles and Mae of Cary, N. C; his stepson John Andrew Aust; his grandsons, Tucker and Bailey of Boulder, CO; his stepdaughter Jennifer Lynn Stroud; and his grandsons, Ty and Shay of Lafayette, CO..
