He was predeceased by: his parents, Gene David Merriman and Dorothy Wolfe Merriman. He is survived by: his wife Melody Anne Merriman of Cary; his sons, Cory Allen Merriman, Jeffrey David Merriman, William Michael Merriman and Andrew Torres; his siblings, Gene David "Duffy" Merriman, Mathew Christian, Paul Baatz, Faith Merriman and Julie Adams (Scott); his aunt Phillis Simeth; and his sisters-in-law, Lisa Merriman and Susan Ligget. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins.
