He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Edwin and Olivia Goode Heafner; his wife Martha Young Heafner; his children, Anne Heafner Harrison (Rodney) and John Patrick Heafner (Tina); his grandchildren, Logan, Daniel, John Patrick, Jr. and Laney; and his brother Edwin Zaccheus (Wilma). He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
