He was predeceased by: his parents, Lancing Burrows Hunter and Ruby Lois Hunter; and his siblings, William Lancing Hunter and Betty Lois Hunter Trivett. He is survived by: his wife Martha Carolyn Hunter; his sister Barbara Hunter Galloway; his sons, Michael Legrand Hunter (Patti Hunter) and Douglas Lewis Hunter (Rebekah Hunter); his grandchildren, Lucas Michael Hunter (Alexis), Christina Cross Snyder (Cody), Lancing Thomas Hunter (Emily), Lauren Elizabeth Hunter, Alex Lewis Hunter and Abigail Grace Hunter; and his great grandchildren, Leighton, Silas and Hutcherson (Hutch).
