With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Iris Newton Thomas of Cary, North Carolina, born in Durham, North Carolina, who passed away on June 4, 2020 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Marshall Newton and Myrtle Newton; her husband David W. Thomas; her children, Marsha Thomas Percival (Thomas H. Percival) of Lumberton, NC, Kenneth D. Thomas (Josie) of Cary and John S. Thomas (Diane) of Cary; and her grandchildren, Karen Orthner, Lesley Clayton, Rebecca Miller, John Percival, David Percival, David Thomas and Gregory Thomas. She was also cherished by ten great-grandchildren.
